October 18, 2018 Special Meeting

A special meeting was held on October 18, 2018 to discuss the new proposed Zoning Map.  The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by Chairman Lori Ebright.  All members were present.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

A Moment of Silence was observed.

Robert Webber, chairman of the Planning Commission, presented an update of the map and opened the floor for questions.  He stated the map was originally presented to Supervisors in 2017.  Based on population, the number of residents has been declining.  He informed the residents Suez water and sewer may be available to residents as early as next year.

Many residents asked questions and there was much discussion opposing the changes in the map.  A petition was presented by Mrs. Connie Giger which had been signed by 45 residents opposing the map. After hearing the residents concerns the board had discussion and answered questions.

The motion to adopt the Ordinance approving the new Zoning Map was made with 1 voting in favor of (Ms. Woodward) and 2 opposing the vote (Mr. Hinkle and Mrs. Ebright).  Motion fails

Respectfully Submitted
