April 25, 2016 - Special Meeting

The Special Meeting of the Montour Township Board of Supervisors was called to order on April 25, 2016 at 2:13 p.m., by Chairman Joseph Mullen.  Ms. Ebright was absent.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

A Moment of Silence was observed.

 

Mr. Mullen reported that the Road Project Bids that were opened at the Regular Meeting on April 14, 2016 have been reviewed and calculated.  A tabulation sheet was distributed.  Much discussion was held.

A MOTION was made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Bennett to accept the Base Bid plus Alternate #1 for a total amount of $180,705.23 as follows:

Motion carried.

A MOTION was made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Bennett to reject Alternate #2, Alternate #3 and the paving of Cross Road due to insufficient funds.  Motion carried.

Mr. Mullen reminded all of his previous comments concerning the Columbia county Liquid Fuels grant money.  Due to low funds available for the road projects at this time, he would like to revise the grant applications being submitted. 

A MOTION was made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Bennett to submit grants in the amounts as follows:

            $25,000 – Upper Tower Drive

            $15,000 – Lower Tower Drive

            $15,000 – Bank repair on Tower Drive

Eliminating grant applications for Cross Road and Quarry Drive.  Motion carried.

There being no further business to discuss, the Meeting was adjourned at 2:25 p.m., on a MOTION of, Mr. Mullen seconded by Mr. Bennett.  Motion carried.
